| To say Gretchen was born on a horse is pretty darn close to
reality, as on the day Gretchen's parents brought her home from the
hospital they took her picture on a horse before they even took her
into their home.
Gretchen started competing at a very early age and won her 1st individual competition before her 2nd birthday. She grew up in Nebraska showing horses alongside her family. She competed in all the events on the show circuit, with showmanship, speed events and English classes being her favorites. In the early 1990's with the changes in the style of the pleasure horses, Gretchen turned exclusively to the speed events. Training and fitting her own barrel horses has become a passion for Gretchen that has also allowed for her to use her creative and sales skills with the development of Hot Stuff Braiding & Tack. |

Jeanne

Jeanne has been running barrels since early childhood and started
training professionally in 1970. Although
barrels and other speed events were her favorites, she has shown and
competed in all spectrums of the western horse world. She has been
training her own horses since she has started competing. Jeanne has the unique ability to communicate with horses and riders
of any level or background. Her horses and riders both go on to
enjoy long and successful careers. |
